Renae Blanton, MSN, ANP

Renae has been practicing Functional and Integrative Family Medicine since 2001. After attending Texas A&M University, Renae graduated in 1991 with her BS in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She was an active-duty Navy Nurse Corps Officer for six years and an additional six years active reservist.

In 1999, Renae graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with her Master’s in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner).

Renae’s specialties include family medicine, women’s health and bio-identical hormone replacement, chronic illness including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, diabetes, high blood pressure, and digestive disorders, heavy metal testing and treatment, and IV nutritional therapies including high-dose vitamin C, glutathione, chelation, and oxidative therapy.

Renae’s passion for the last seven years is spending time with her daughter, Ella, teaching and sharing the joys of the outdoors.  In her free time, Renae enjoys kayaking and rafting, skiing,  hiking, biking, camping, and fishing.

This past summer, Renae discovered with Ella that they love “jeeping” the local mining roads – camping in the wildnerness is awesome! –  and hopes she can acquire the necessary toys to do so more often.  Durango has been the perfect balance of being able to serve her community and be rejuvenated by the plethora of activities right out our backdoors.  She knew she arrived “home” three years ago and is looking forward to years of exploring her home.
