Kathleen
Kathleen Tischhauser, R.N.
Kathleen is a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in clinical nursing, a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, Reiki Master, Retreat Director, Meditation Teacher, Group Leader, and Nutritional Counselor. Her goal is to provide compassionate support and touch to persons who need or desire healing, balance, and/or integration in mind, body and spirit. She seeks to improve the quality of their life. She also does Inner Healing Work to relieve the suffering and pain caused by stress or wounds of the past.
As one of our gentle IV nurses she gets to interact and make a difference each day with the clients. Her other interests include hiking, biking, swimming, reading, music, dancing and gardening. She lives in Durango with her husband. She has two children and seven step-children, who bring much joy to her life.
Kathleen became a nurse when she was twenty years old and has been interested in healing, spiritual growth and inner work most of her life. The areas that have captured her heart and have taken her down a very interesting path are preventive, functional medicine and holistic health. She took her first Reiki class fourteen years ago and, since then, she has studied Healing Touch, Energetic Healing, Reconnection and the ancient Japanese art of Jin Shin Jyutsu, which is like acupuncture without the needles.
She taught meditation and led silent retreats for many years as well. When she’s not doing nursing or healing work, she is practicing yoga, hiking, dancing, reading or playing the African drum or Native American flute. Her life is all about being fully present in the moment and enjoying every minute of it that she can. For Kathleen, “Life is good”.
